Button Swap!!

Hello Ladies!!

It's time that I get a few new gorgeous bloggers on my sidebar. Anyone interested in swapping buttons with me send me an email!!!!

What To Wear: Game Day

Yes, my friends, it is that time of year. Football is starting and I'm so freakin' excited!! Especially because I am in two fantasy football leagues this year. That is more than my husband, haha!!

Living in the Midwest, going to games in the fall and winter is cold. Well it can actually be down right freezing at times {literally -10* F kind of freezing}. Dressing for games can be no fun and we usually end up looking like this after an hour or so into the game:

Frozen, just like the cheese-head hat. I will say though, we are the BEST fans around. What fans would volunteer to shovel 2 feet of snow out of the stadium before game day? That would be us thank you very much.

Packer Fans are DIE HARD. We volunteer to shovel snow on game day at Lambeau Field.

Now back to the reason for this post. How is a girl supposed to look good at their favorite team's game? Well here are a few ideas. Just remember when going to a sporting event, keep it simple and comfortable. {AKA leave the stilettos at home}

For those warm days:

For when it starts getting chilly:

Baby, it's cold outside:
it is all about layering!!

Don'ts:

Green Bay Packers Game Day Dress...think I could convince Jake to get this for me?
{Thank God the dress is no longer available and that isn't an actual shoe, it's an ornament}

They aren't real shoes, but rather fashion for your bar. Fill with straws?

What did Little A say?

I did a post like this a few months ago when I had just started blogging and have decided I really want to make it a regular occurrence simply because what 2 year old doesn't say the funniest things?!

A few weeks ago Gigi (what we call my mom) bought Little A ABC flashcards. He loves them and loves going through all the letters and pictures. While going through them last week this is the conversation that happened:

Momma: What's this?
Little A: A lady bug. Lady bugs are icky, I don't like lady bugs.
Momma: Lady bugs aren't icky.
Little A: Lady bugs aren't icky? Lady bugs are good for my tummy.

This continued for a few minutes as I tried to explain that not all bugs are icky but that doesn't mean you can eat them. After some banter we came to the conclusion: lady bugs are icky

Lesson: don't argue with a 2 year old. It doesn't work.

Weekly Wishes #3

As you know, I didn't blog at all last week so I technically had 2 weeks to get my last weekly wish accomplished. My wish was to get my house clean. I got almost everything put away and I got my kitchen clean so it looked good at first glance however I didn't get all the deep cleaning done I was hoping for. Then I started catching up on laundry and it looks like a mess again. It's a vicious cycle, a horrible, never-ending vicious cycle. Is it to much to ask for my house to stay clean for more then a day?!

My weekly wishes this week:

Do the deep cleaning I have been wanting to get done. My husband works all week & weekend so hopefully I can stay motivated and get it done finally!!

Start running (I know, I know, I already said this) and use the Couch 2 5K app I just downloaded on my phone  to train for my upcoming 5K. Sarah from Venus Trapped in Mars posted a picture on Instagram of her first day using the app. I hadn't heard of it before and because I am trying to get myself off the couch to running a 5K I thought it would be a perfect app for me to try! It is an 8 week program and I only have 5 weeks to train so hopefully I can speed it up a bit.

Have any weekly wishes? I'd love to hear what you all are wishing for this week!

Weekend Recap & Summer List Update!!

We were so super busy this last week and it was so much fun!!! It's amazing how fast summer has been going. I'm in denial that we are already mid-way through August and we still have a lot that we wanted to do!!

This past week/weekend we got some paint for the boys rooms & our living room. Hopefully I will get some home posts up starting this fall :). I also got to check something off my Summer List! Golfing with my husband. Even though we didn't actually golf a course it was still so much fun. We decided that starting me on a driving range would probably be a better idea. I can't wait until next summer though so we can go more & I can keep learning how to play!

We went blueberry picking in the area as well. I never knew there was a place anywhere in WI that you could blueberry pick so when I found this one I was so excited!! This is one thing that will always stay on our summer to do list. It is so much easier to pick blueberry then strawberries or even raspberries. Plus, they last longer in the refrigerator then strawberries. They are honestly the best blueberries I have ever had. If you have a chance to pick, I highly suggest doing it!!!

We also had a birthday party,  I got my hair did, and my husband and I got some adult time. He had his Fantasy Football draft this last weekend and I surprised him and got a babysitter for the kiddos so  could join him after they finished drafting!! The boys and I also managed to fit in shopping and checked out a butterfly garden (lame) and a children's farm (cute!). It was gorgeous this weekend and we definitely packed in the fun!!!!

I hope you all enjoyed your weekends!! I have some awesome stuff in the works that you will definitely want to check out!!!

Happy Monday!

{Fan Friday Link-Up}

I'm so excited that it is getting to be that time of year! The football pre-season has started. Guess what else that means? Fantasy Football teams are starting up!

 Basically Me- Fantasy Football Queen, Wife & Mom...all while baking cupcakes :)

 I have always enjoyed football but it wasn't until the last 4 years that I have really gotten into it. I grew up BIG football fans. I remember always watching games (I must admit I only ever watched the Super Bowl for commercials) and I always really enjoyed the atmosphere that came with sports. Now, I am married to a HUGE football & baseball fan and I couldn't imagine a day that we didn't talk about either one. He was the one who introduced me to the world of fantasy sport teams.

The harsh reality of fantasy teams.

My husband has been doing fantasy football & baseball for a long time (he is old(er then me)). This year I decided to join in on the fun!!! Crazy me decided for my first year to do TWO leagues. I signed up for an all blogger league (Whoohoo!!) and another all girls league (the commissioner's husband is in my husbands league).

What is a commissioner you ask? Basically the person who creates and moderates the team. There is a lot more to know about fantasy football leagues then many people think. It takes a lot of strategy and knowing your players and stats. Questions about drafting to create the winning team? Sarah from Venus Trapped in Mars wrote a great guide here.  Need a few ideas on a team name? Sarah also came up with some awesomely dirty great ones here.

Here's to a football season full of fantasy wins for me! Let the trash talking begin!

Introducing...

{drum roll please}...

I am officially announcing my cupcake business! I'm so excited and ready to take on the world one cupcake at a time!!

 If you read my 30 Before 30 post, you know that getting my business started was on my list. I can now cross that off {it's my first one too!} and start working on more.

Being a stay at home mom, I needed to find something I loved doing. I tried a few things and kept overlooking what I have always been good at: baking. For almost 2 years now, I have been baking cupcakes for fun and by request and have been receiving rave reviews. I never thought it would come so far that I would be able to start my own business.

I thank everyone who has supported me, loved my cupcakes and asked for more. I can't wait to spread the cupcake love!!!

Check out my website and like me on Facebook!!

Weekly Wishes #2

 Weekly wishes is a link up with Melyssa @ The Nectar Collective where you put your goal/wishes for the week!!

Last weeks goal: Be more active!! Well, I found my shoes and I went on a long walk. Not as successful as I was hoping but at least I got started which is usually the hard part!!!

This weeks goal: Get my house clean. Seriously, I have been majorly neglecting our home{sorry Hubby!}. We have been so busy that I just can't seem to find the time to keep up. Fortunately for me, the next week or 2 we really don't have anything planned!!! Now if only my wish for the house to clean itself could actually come true.

{National Girlfriend's Day}

Yes, there is such a thing. Even though I think it is a ridiculous hallmark holiday, I am still doing a post about it. I've heard so many times that you can only have ONE best friend. Well, I think that is crazy. I have never been the type to have a lot of friends and for the longest time I always said I never really had a true best friend. As I have gone through life, I have learned what exactly being a best friend means and I have realized that it is OK to say you have more then one best friend.

I have FOUR of the most amazing best girl friends a girl could ask for. I would consider them to be my sisters. Two of them I have been friends with since middle school, we have been through a lot together and know WAY too much about each other. The other two girls I have met in the last 4 years (one through one of the girls mentioned before) and they were quickly two of the greatest friends I have ever had. How do you know they are your best friends? If you can go months between talking and you can pick up like you just talked to them yesterday.

 Sorry for the horrible photo quality, this is the only picture I have of all of us together.

I've been blessed beyond belief with my bffs and they truly are just that, my best friends forever. I could only hope every women out there has more than one person that they can call their best friend.
